EGEMS is a northwest-based micro-consultancy, founded by Rick Sykes in 2019 and providing service to the north half of England and Wales.
We aim to inform, educate, motivate and inspire others to share in our passion for Doing What’s Right – both for the successful delivery of your project’s objectives and for the protection and enhancement of our shared natural environment.
As with the precious emerald gemstone - we believe that the more transparent, precise and elegantly simple our services are, the higher its value is for our clients.
We operate on the case-proven belief that authentic environmental good practice not only covers its own costs, but brings with it generous rewards.
Through advancing our clients’ sustainability performance, we also enhance their market reputations and so increase the likelihood of their future successes.
Our Founder, Rick Sykes, directs EGEMS – and our associates – with the principal vision of providing the most mutually-beneficial advice possible; best for our clients and best for the environment.
With over twenty years’ design and construction experience in the utilities industry, Rick has successfully contributed to and enabled some of the largest modern national infrastructure projects in Europe. He has provided industry-leading advice on environmental management and sustainability to design engineers, project and construction managers, as well as their clients, regulators and other stakeholders.
Rick also collaborates with multiple regional SME businesses, enabling them to improve and promote their sustainability performance, publicly celebrate their successes and win larger market-share.
